Our Mission
The gallery was founded in 2014, but it quickly found its way to its intended location and quickly became a favourite hangout for artists and art enthusiasts.
The Colorsartgalleries’ mission is to use the visual arts to engage the public in local, regional, and global social issues while exhibiting, interpreting, preserving, and promoting the visual, creative, and cultural heritage of Pakistan’s Indigenous Peoples. By direct interaction with authentic pieces of art, the Colorsartgalleries seeks to promote appreciation for and understanding of art and its place in society.
Our Vision
We envision a gallery accessible to everyone as a vibrant public space in service of our community, to foster greater social engagement, critical thinking and creativity. To shape and enrich the quality of life for the residents and visitors of Colors Art Galleries and to become a leader in the areas of art appreciation and interdisciplinary education for the local community.
Our Values
We have set and identifies the following high-quality values for us to fulfill our goals and vision:
To develop community responsibility the gallery interacts with the community by designing programs that inspire, challenge, educate and entertain while recognizing excellence in the visual arts.
To develop professional responsibility the gallery employs curatorial expertise to implement the setting of exhibitions, programs and services in accordance with nationally recognized professional standards of virial arts.
To develop an understanding and appreciation of art’s complex role in reflecting and affecting how people relate critically and creatively to a changing world.
To present a changing programmed of well-researched, visually stimulating and thoughtful exhibitions that are supported by appropriate events and publications, which make a distinctive contribution to their fields and win the respect and attention of local, national and international audiences.
To take a national leadership role in developing educational activities that deepen an understanding of how galleries work to produce meaning and advance knowledge.
To provide a platform for interdisciplinary thinking and research where ideas and practices can be explored and tested.
To document the work of the gallery as an accessible resource for current and future art critics and art students.
